Questions about nationalism

Formation of a country or nationalism probably as a concept can be backtracked even 5000 years ago. I don't think humanity is going backward but there are strong reasons why so many conscious minds are making these decisions. Why do we humanity divide into nations & create a hostile environment for immigrants or neighboring countries?

Why certain religious immigrants are considered to be refugees? Is it because they align to certain beliefs? Or if those refugee immigrants get citizenship, surely, that vote is assured to the political party that granted citizenship? We're ready to use the technologies, products, inventions, or sports from other countries but at times we can not tolerate living with people across nations together. The moment we give citizenship to immigrants, then we end up paying our tax money to the immigrants and they start getting benefits like vote, food, water, health, education, etc. If we're consuming the benefits of other nations then it is great! Is it at the time of giving we've concerns?

Even so miserable is that a majority of well-educated and evolved people who are in power restrict the voices against these divisions.

What defines the boundaries? Is it belief? Who are we to control immigration? like if we deny certain birds to enter the so-called boundaries? Even if we control, why is it based on religion?

Yuval shares his views about nationalism vs. fascism! He says,

  • A Nationalist will tell my nation is unique & I've special obligation.
  • A Fascist will tell my nation is supreme & I've exclusive obligations towards it Or my nation is the only important thing in the world Or stand against the truth if isn't favoring nation.

Doesn't religion create division? Doesn't nationalism create division? When this fundamental construct of division ends does it create harmony? A harmony of living together!
